Media that moves
Send JPEG and PNG images, play local animated GIFs, and choose Fit or Center Crop without rewriting the validated display path.
Public beta · 0.4.0b1
NautiBoy brings media, live thermals, and layered visual compositions to the Corsair Nautilus LCD—without a Windows control stack.

Built around the hardware
One device-independent rendering system powers media, telemetry, and Creative compositions. The hardware adapter remains narrow and explicitly authorized.
Send JPEG and PNG images, play local animated GIFs, and choose Fit or Center Crop without rewriting the validated display path.
Select up to two read-only Linux hwmon temperature sensors and frame them with the animated Orbit renderer.
Keep four independent presets combining local media, optional Orbit animation, colors, and foreground telemetry.
Serialized transfers, one owner, bounded scheduling, tray operation, and reliable restoration of stored hardware/iCUE content.
Inspect passive USB/HID findings before saving. Reports stay local until you decide to send them.
The application
NautiBoy keeps the active device, firmware, playback state, and restore action visible. Settings make background startup and one-shot display resume explicit and opt-in.

Hardware compatibility
Identification does not imply control support or authorize hardware writes. Only explicitly supported adapters can control a device.

External beta testing
Unsupported and incorrectly identified devices are useful research targets. NautiBoy gives testers one reviewable ZIP instead of a page of terminal commands.
Read the tester guideOpen Settings and choose Generate Hardware Report.
Inspect the complete human-readable report and JSON before saving.
NautiBoy creates a ZIP on your machine. Nothing is uploaded.
Email the reviewed ZIP to hardware@nautiboy.dev.

The validated package targets Fedora KDE Plasma 44 and the CORSAIR Nautilus LCD Cap at 1b1c:0c57.
The immutable v0.4.0-beta.1 tag predates the newest external tester workflow commit. Its downloadable artifact does not include those newest in-app tester-workflow refinements.
